Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- The death toll from a suspected U.S. drone strike in Pakistan's tribal region has risen to seven, intelligence officials said Tuesday, Two civilians who were injured when two missiles were fired into a shop Monday later died, raising the toll from five to seven, the officials said. The officials asked not be named because they were not authorized to talk to the media. The attack took place in a village in North Waziristan, one of the seven districts bordering Afghanistan. Two intelligence officials said a drone fired two missile at a vehicle carrying three militants. The sources say one militant was able to escape from the car and hide inside a nearby shop. The drone then fired two more missiles at the shop killing the militant, as well as two civilians inside. Two other civilians who were inside the shop were injured -- and later died. Based on a count by the CNN Islamabad bureau, Monday's suspected drone strike was the 98th this year compared with 52 in all of 2009.
